My baby jungle boa hasn't been eating well since I'd gotten her. She should be eating hoppers (small juvenile mice) but seems to be really intimidated by the size of them. She's only eaten a few on her own, and I finally had to forcefeed her a couple fuzzies (baby mice that've just grown fur).
She was so weak she couldn't swallow them on her own. I had to squeeze them down her throat like a toothpaste tube.. after that, she kind of went limp and stopped breathing for about 20 minutes, but was still a little responsive. I thought for sure she was going to die, but she pulled through, amazingly.
I should have put an object in there for size comparison, but I didn't think about it.. The round part of her head is about the size of a nickel.

I'm so disappointed.. I spent hours hurrying along on my costume; even left work early and spent virtually 6 hours straight working on it to get it done in time to go out, and it was lost on maybe 95% of the crowd. How could you not know Max from Where the Wild Things Are? This means nobody's read to their kids.
It was really boring too. Lots of "The Crow"s, cats, bunnies, and of course everything imaginable stripper style. They all must have made a mass trip to Fantasy for Adults Only.
I did see a home-made Ghost Buster that looked really good, and somebody was wearing a big vintage wolf mask I really liked. We saw a little Asian guy walk by in a cheapo Snow White dress - not particularly creative, but it made us laugh. He didn't bother with makeup or a wig..
Kenshin appreciated my costume.. He took the opportunity to show me it was the most comfortable bed ever.
